Divine Love
Om Sai Ram,
Humble pranams at the divine Lotus Feet of our beloved Bhagwan. Our beloved Lord, during the World Youth Conference 2007 at Prashanti spoke at length on Love. Following is the excerpt on LOVE from HIS speech.

The principle of love is the principle of divinity, nothing else. Accept that love which comes from God. Do not accept that love which comes from others. Your love for God is true love. Whomsoever you love other than that, it cannot be called true love. Man develops attachment to many people, but he is unable to experience true love. True love originates only from God. God is the embodiment of love. Love is God. Live in Love. You should experience only divine love, not worldly love.
- Baba

With above given Divine quotation in mind, youth wing had invited articles on their understanding on LOVE in not more than 500 words. Following are the prize winning articles.

Om Sai Ram,

My humble Pranams to the Lotus Feet of our Beloved Bhagwan !

Swami starts any of His discourses as “Embodiment of Love”. His love is unconditional to all. Human love to some body is always with some expectations and that is conditional.

I have noticed Swami’s love towards His devotees. It is abundant in nature. Whenever any play or music is performed by youngsters or elders in Supreme Master’s presence, Swami rewards them His love in some form of materials. Above all, He gives them a chance to take a photo to make others enjoying their association with Him throughout life time. He not only talks about Love and He stands as an exemplary role model to all!

In WYC 2007, one of the speakers in their speech said “Swami has personally looked in to the arrangements including the food for the delegates and altered a lot of menu item to suit all. What a great love Swami has on His Devotees!

His Promise to provide drinking water to Chennai residence became a reality. It shows his Love towards people and beyond comparison! Whatever even a stable government could not do, Swami got it done with only His Divine Love as tools. If I give Rs. 10/- to a family member or a friend, I expect always a favour from them. But Swami never does. He wants us to ask whatever we want and He is ready to give the same without any condition. Can we see any human in this world who says “Leave all your burdens and worries to me and take happiness from me to home”? We are lucky that we are born in this golden era where God has come in physical form and pour out His immense love to all equally.

During my WYC 2007 at Parthi, Swami gave each Darshan for lasting not less than 1.5 hours for consecutively for 11 times. What a caring love Swami has on his devotees!

“Serve all, Love all” is Swami’s teachings and principle. I recall His love to his fellow villagers, even before He declared his Avatar, as described in “Tapovanam”. His service to common man cannot be estimated by any one, like schools, colleges, hospitals, water projects, grama seva etc. “His Life is His Message” and He stands on His principle always.

Swami’s love is divine itself as He is verily God and Supreme Master. He taught us that all Dharmas are same and love all religions and serve all. Understanding the life style of Kaliyuga, He wants us to do simple thing, ie. Namasmarana to reach God.

The simplest way to obtain the divine and unsullied love is to serve others. Serving others as though we are serving God is the easiest way to obtain Swami’s love. In this way, we develop compassion and love to all! His Love teaches us annihilation of ego and forbearance!

Let us continue to serve and love all and obtain the Divine Love!

Jai Sai Ram,
Bro. Mahesh.

Om Shree Sai Ram!

How can anyone describe Divine Love? It is indescribable. It is pure and unconditional and can be compared only to a Mother’s Love - and Swami is the Divine Mother who is always protecting us and loving us all unconditionally.

Divine love is Universal in nature - all pervading and all embracing - meaning that all are ONE and from the same Divine Principle. It is not Caste, Religion, Creed, Status or Gender based.

So how does one cultivate this Divine Love? One has to just learn to feel and create this Love from one’s Inner Spiritual Heart. It is not always easy, but the Desire to feel this Divine Love is in itself motivation enough to strive for it.

We as Sai Devotees are indeed extremely fortunate to be in constant “touch” with Swami and experiencing His Divine Love through:
  • Thoughts about HIM.
  • Reading, Listening about / to HIS Stories, Leelas, Discourses etc.
  • Strictly adhering to His Rules and His Teachings on Human Values and humbly accepting Him as our Sadguru.
  • Attending Satsangs and singing his Keertans.
  • Doing Namasmaran and worshipping Him in the form of previous Shridi Avatar and the present Parthi Avatar.
  • Occasionally having His actual (Divya Swaroopa) Darshan, either at Puttaparthi or at Brindavan, whenever He wills it for us.
  • Above all, involving ourselves in Service Activities without any expectations, keeping in mind what Swami tells us to do - “To Love All and Serve All”.

What more do we need then, for Divine Love to be inculcated into all of us.

Om Sai Ram

“Love” this is a common word which we all use. Even without knowing the true meaning of love. Swami says your love for God is only true. Whomsoever you love other than that can’t be called true love. But most of us will think how Swami can say like that. I love my wife and children so dearly. But your love towards them is not true. There is always a selfish motive behind it. It is not a selfless love. But God’s love is selfless. He doesn’t ask us anything in return. His love is true and pure. We believe that our love towards our parents, wife/husband and children is true love. But the fact is that’s not true love. It is attachment. Swami says there is a difference between true love and attachment. Swami advices us to leave this worldly attachment and accept the true love from God. God loves each one of us regardless of our religion, cast, colour, sex or anything. Try to experience the divine love. All this materialistic things may make us happy. But remember true happiness and bliss can be only received from god.
